Google Apps
These are just a few of the google apps I use on a daily basis. They have even more then this that are great to use in the classroom.
Google ClassroomGoogle Classroom is a web service by Google for teachers to post assignments, announcements, and posting questions. Teachers can grade assignments, make comments, and keep track of students work. This is a great way to keep your classroom paperless and organized for your students and parents. The down side to this service is you can not comment with a picture or pin certain announcements on the top of the page.

Google SlidesThis is a presentation program through Google that both teachers and students can use. This program is housed in your google suite which allows you to access your presentation from any device. You can also have multiple collaborators on a single presentation and share it with one another.

Google DocsThis is word processor program through Google that both teachers and students can use. This program is housed in your google suite which allows you to access your document from any device. You can also have multiple collaborators on a single document and share it with one another. When adding pictures on Google Docs it is limiting on how you can move your photos around the document.

Google DrivesGoogle Drive is a cloud storage where you can store and access your files, photos, videos, files, and so much more. A great feature on Drive is you can create team folders where multiple collaborates have access to the folder and can share resources with one another. If you input documents from Microsoft, it will not always save the same format.

Learning Management System
SeesawThis is a student driven digital portfolios and a parent communication tool. Students are able to draw, record video, take pictures, and more to showcase their learning. There is an activity page where students can complete activity assigned by their teacher. It can be limiting some of the features for posting an activity. They also have an option for creating a classroom website for blogging to showcase their work.

EdmodoThis is a platform where students and parents can connect. Teachers are able to create groups, assign homework, quizzes, and more. It also give teachers a place to house grades and collect data. Parents are able to see how their student is doing and monitor their progress. When creating groups, it can be a little time consuming given them rights and making sure they have access to the correct things.

Powerschool LearningThis is a learning management for teachers to post assignments and resources for students. Teachers are able to see real-time interaction inside and outside the classroom. This also links up to the grade book and always for quick grading. The downside to this management system is it takes a lot of time to create and embedded your material.

Video Creator and Editing Tools
Explain EverythingThis is an interactive whiteboard platform where you can create stories and ideas. You can . Start with an infinite canvas, combine new & existing media, annotations, and text. Record every experience to capture authentic moments of ideation. Then students can share out what they made. The downside to this app is it cost money.

EducreationThis is a tool for creating and sharing multimedia lessons. You have a decent amount of tools to create a video. Teachers can send the videos and students can also create videos on the classroom page. The downside to this app is you need to record your media correctly the first time, you can not go back and rerecord certain parts.

Interactive Apps
NearpodThis is an interactive whiteboard where you create presentations for students but they are able to directly interact with the presentation. You are able to give feedback through this program and see where they fall. Making the presentations can be time consuming and is limited in the free version.

Adobe SparkThis is great platform to make graphic designs. It has a ton of layout and features for students and teachers to use. One constraint of this system is it is not particular student friendly. Some of the ways it is setup is more for adults who are familiar with graphic design. Once you show the students around they get the hang of it and really enjoy using it.

Communication
RemindThis is a website and app for communication. It can be used for both parent and student communication. You send a reminder just like you would a text. You can send audio, images, links, and it even hooks up to your Google drive. The downside to this is all parents may not have access to this tool and you have to be mindful of that.
