Dear School Administrator,
I am interested in a teaching position in your school district. I would like to fulfill and continue my educational training, expertise, and goals by teaching in your school.
I am energetic and also have strong organizational skills, and a passion for helping my students to achieve their best. I am ready to share my positive attitude with children. I have been preparing to have my own classroom not only through my education but through gathering supplies and materials for my classroom. I have acquired different teaching aids, games, resources, and a library with over 500 children’s and educational books.
My background and experience have prepared me for this teaching position based on my experience in both traditional and blended learning environments. I have worked with students at the elementary and taught middle school levels. This included individual, small group, and whole class instruction to students in all subjects, with specialized instruction in math; we incorporated Everyday Math and technology using a learning management program. I implemented a variety of teaching styles to meet the needs of each individual student.
I graduated from Eastern Michigan University in December 2014. I received a degree in Elementary Education with a major in mathematics and a minor in integrated science, both of which I am endorsed to teach up to eighth grade. I am about to graduate from Michigan State University with a master's degree in Educational Technology. I am eager to contribute my enthusiasm and up-to-date skills in the classroom. I attended the Michigan Innovative Schools Conference and presented on Blended Learning. I student taught in a 21st century classroom under the MACUL teacher of the year.
You can find my resume under the About Me section, which outlines my education, experience and achievements for your review. I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to meet with you to share more about myself and how I will fit into your school. Thank you for taking the time to review my application. I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Elizabeth Schoeff
